BeatsToRapOn + BTR Music

Two sides. One music ecosystem.

BeatsToRapOn is where independent artists prepare, manage and publish songs. BTR Music is the connected listener experience. Those are complementary roles, not a promise of distribution to other streaming platforms.

Drill Artist Guide

Your city. Your flow. Your release.

Drill has distinct regional identities rather than one universal sound. UK Drill leans into syncopation and sliding low end; NY Drill brings its own bounce; Chicago Drill has a different historical foundation; Afro-Drill blends regional rap delivery and African rhythmic influences. Your track page should describe the lane honestly, not treat every dark rap song as the same genre.

Drill relies on controlled low-end movement and precise rhythm. Make sure the recording still has punch when people listen on mobile devices, not only on large studio monitors.

Control sliding 808s

Tune and level the bass so slides are musical and do not swamp the kick. Check that the rhythm remains readable in mono and on ordinary earbuds.

Make the verses sit above the instrumental

Drill patterns can be busy. Keep the main vocal intelligible through sliding bass, fast hi-hats and layered percussion. Review consonants, timing and ad-libs at normal listening volume.

Tag the correct regional sound

UK Drill, NY Drill, Chicago Drill and Afro-Drill can differ in groove, tempo and vocal treatment. Describe what is actually in the recording and choose the closest available category.

Confirm the recording is yours to share

Clear sample uses and beat licences, attribute collaborators accurately and ensure the content meets platform moderation rules before submitting it.

BTR is not a Spotify distributor.

A BTR upload publishes to the BeatsToRapOn ecosystem and may be eligible for BTR Music. It does not send your song to Spotify, Apple Music or other DSPs. See the Spotify upload guide for that separate process and Artist Pro for current features and regional prices.

Drill Release Strategy

Upload the song. Give it momentum.

Publishing a recording is the beginning of the release, not the end of the campaign. Use a distinctive moment from the track, one clear link and a consistent artist identity. For Drill in particular, the details below make promotion more relevant to the sound.

Make the first bar count

An opening line, beat drop or bass transition can define the release. Use a short, clean preview without forcing fans to sit through a long intro before hearing the distinctive moment.

Be precise about region and sound

Do not advertise a track as UK Drill simply because the beat uses a sliding 808. Tell listeners what they are hearing and who made it, including any genuine crossover elements.

Give the whole project a destination

Link the public track to an artist profile with real artwork, accurate credits and a short bio. For a broader rap release, use the Hip-Hop upload guide; for trap-dominant production, see Trap.

Remember to review the original music file, the release artwork and the public page before posting it anywhere. If you need help finishing the recording, BTR also offers music promotion tools and wider artist-facing services.

Drill Upload Questions

Answers before you upload.

Where can I upload drill music for free?
BeatsToRapOn lets independent Drill artists submit songs and instrumentals through an artist workspace. A free account currently supports up to 10 track uploads total, subject to review.
Does BTR support UK Drill and NY Drill?
Yes. BTR has public UK Drill, NY Drill, Chicago Drill and Afro-Drill music pages. Use the category available in the uploader that matches your own recording.
Can I upload an instrumental Drill beat?
Yes, if you have the rights to publish it. Include a clear instrumental title and original artwork, and verify any samples, loops or purchased elements are properly licensed.
Are drill tracks automatically rejected because of the genre?
No genre-specific rejection rule is implied by this page. Every upload must comply with the current content, rights and moderation rules. Review the platform Terms rather than assuming an approval outcome.
Can I upload music for free on BeatsToRapOn?
Yes. A free BTR artist account currently supports up to 10 track uploads in total. Artist Pro adds unlimited uploads and additional artist features; review the current plan details before upgrading.
Does uploading here release my music on Spotify or Apple Music?
No. BeatsToRapOn is a direct-upload artist platform and BTR Music is its connected listener app. Uploading to BTR does not distribute to Spotify, Apple Music or other DSPs. You need a separate distributor for that workflow.
Will my song be in the BTR Music mobile app?
Approved, published tracks that meet artist, content and mobile eligibility rules can appear in BTR Music on iPhone and Android. An upload alone does not guarantee mobile availability, chart ranking or editorial placement.
Can I make money from my uploaded songs?
Eligible artists may earn through qualifying streams and supported direct-to-fan products, subject to product eligibility and the BTR Payment Terms. An upload, a play or a follower is not a guaranteed payment.
Who owns the rights after I upload?
You retain the rights you lawfully own. You must have permission to publish any third-party beats, samples, features or other recorded material. The platform Terms explain the licence needed for hosting and playback.
Which audio file format should I upload?
Use a high-quality finished audio export in one of the formats accepted by the current track uploader. Check file type and size limits in the workspace before submitting, and keep your original master and session files.
How quickly will my track be available to listeners?
Tracks must pass the applicable review and publishing process. Timing can vary; check your workspace for approval status. Share the public release URL only once the track is live.
