Join us for an unforgettable evening as WSL presents Common Kings live on the sand during the Sundown Sets festival at one of Southern California's biggest celebrations of surf and summer — the 2025 Lexus US Open of Surfing at Huntington Beach. Experience the vibrant energy of this iconic event at the beautiful The Beach Bar at Huntington Beach Pier.
On Saturday, July 26, from 5 to 8pm PDT, immerse yourself in the soulful rhythms of Common Kings, a band that’s more than just musicians — they’re a family, a community, and a lifestyle. Hailing from California’s Orange County, these four college friends first met at a backyard barbeque over 20 years ago. Their shared Polynesian roots and love for music have propelled them from humble beginnings to international stages, touring with stars like Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, and Meghan Trainor, and headlining festivals worldwide.
Led by Samoan-born Hawaiian singer Sasualei “Jr. King” Maliga and Hawaii-raised guitarist Taumata “Mata” Grey, along with Fiji-born bassist Ivan “Uncle Lui” Kirimaua and L.A.-born Tongan drummer Jerome “Big Rome” Taito, Common Kings have transcended their reggae origins to achieve pop crossover success since 2011. Their infectious sound and brotherhood spirit will bring the beach to life this summer.
Tickets are extremely limited — don’t miss your chance to be part of this special night! Your purchase not only grants you access to an incredible live performance but also supports the Surfrider Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting our oceans, waves, and beaches for everyone.
