She was also an invited weekly guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers and has opened for Lauryn Hill, Patti Smith, and Stanley Clarke.
A Latin Grammy recipient in 2017 for her work with Flor de Toloache, Acevedo has also been featured in Spike Lee's 2020 Emmy-nominated film adaptation of American Utopia and received a 2021 Tony Award for the Broadway production. Trained in theater, dance, and music, she brings a multi-faceted artistic background to the performance.
