Tim Edey is an award-winning musician known for his work in Celtic and contemporary roots music. He has been recognised as BBC Musician of the Year, BBC ALBA/Scotland Best Traditional Musician 2020, and BBC Radio 2 Musician of the Year 2012 at the BBC R2 Folk Awards.
His live solo shows feature instrumental playing on multiple instruments, with a strong Celtic theme. Edey has toured internationally and recorded with artists including The Chieftains, Christy Moore, Sharon Shannon, Ross Ainslie, Natalie MacMaster, Donnell Leahy, Altan, Capercaillie, Brendan Power, Michael McGoldrick, Seamus Begley, Dougie Maclean, Kevin Burke, Liam O'Maonlai, The Barra MacNeills, JP Cormier, Shaun Davey, Session A9, Lunasa, Vinnie Kilduff, Mary Black, Julie Fowlis, and Frankie Gavin.
