The Selecter formed in Coventry in 1979 and became known as a British 2-Tone ska revival band. Their early work included songs such as On My Radio and Three Minute Hero. The group is led by frontwoman Pauline Black and is known for a lineup that blended ska, reggae, and punk with political lyrics.
The band remains active and is still fronted by Pauline Black.
