The Loving Paupers are a DC-based collective influenced by Jamaican masters and late 1970s and early 1980s roots reggae. Their sound blends reggae and dub with Lennon-McCartney influence, combining Jamaican riddim with British Invasion melody.
The Fuss is a Washington, D.C. ska and rocksteady band that pays tribute to 1960s Jamaica and the British Mod scene while adding a modern slant to those styles. The group features three-part female harmonies and a three-piece horn section. Since forming in 2014, they have shared the stage with The Skatalites, The Selecter, The Toasters, The Pietasters, Eastern Standard Time, The Interrupters, Save Ferris, The Steady 45’s, and The Scofflaws.
