The Ries Brothers, pronounced “Rees,” are Charlie and Kevin Jordan Ries, a duo from St. Petersburg, Florida. Their sound blends rock, blues, funk, and reggae. Charlie handles vocals, drums, and keyboard bass, while Kevin plays guitar, ukulele, and melodica and adds harmonies.
The brothers began performing on the Florida bar circuit as teenagers and later drew attention from CHICAGO, leading to two regional tours. Their live performances have taken them to major stages and festivals, including Okeechobee Music Fest, Sunfest, Innings Festival, Cali Roots, Gasparilla, Summer Camp, Cali Vibes, Shaky Knees, Reggae Rise Up Fest, Dry Diggins, Montana Hemp Fest, and Terptown Throwdown.
They have also collaborated remotely with members of The Lumineers, Gary Clark Jr., Steve Miller Band, and Iration, and released a reggae remix of “Take It Back” featuring Julian Marley, Bumpin Uglies, Little Stranger, and more. Their releases include Paint Your Emotion, their self-titled EP, and the tracks “Your Friday Night,” “Strange Times,” “Coming Out Swinging,” and “Golden Sun,” the latter featuring Nick Hexum.
