The Real Thing | British Soul Giants takes place at Boisdale of Canary Wharf, 15 Cabot Square, London, E14 4QT, on Friday 2 October 2026 at 9:00 PM. Table reservations are available from 6:00 PM.
The Real Thing made history as the first Black British band to top the UK charts, and they are led by founding members Chris Amoo and Dave Smith. Their set includes era-defining songs such as “You To Me Are Everything,” “Can’t Get By Without You,” and “Can You Feel The Force?”
The performance draws on Philly soul, funk, disco, and vocal harmonies. A quoted review from the Sunday Express says, “These guys are pure class and really hold up their songs vocally, even after all these years.”
Boisdale of Canary Wharf also features the Hine Bar and Heated Garden Terrace on the first floor for pre- and post-show drinks.
