Chris and Dave continue to tour, and the group’s reputation for hits, musicality, and showmanship remains part of their live shows. In 2019, The Real Thing were featured in the documentary Everything - The Real Thing Story, which premiered in major cinemas across the country and had a featured viewing on BBC Channel 4. BMG also released a Greatest Hits album to coincide with that project, and it reached No. 2 in the Amazon download charts.
The band released their first album of new material in decades, A Brand New Day, in 2022.
