The Hip Abduction is the project of singer/songwriter David New. In live shows, the band includes Matt Poynter on drums, Chris Powers on bass, Justino Walker on guitar, vocals, and ngoni, and Cody Moore on keys and sax. Their music draws from African styles such as Afrobeat, Soukous, and Malian Blues, along with reggae, jam, electronic, and indie influences.
Coyote Island is the musical project of Maine-based producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mike O’Hehir. The band blends folk roots, reggae rhythms, and psychedelic indie. Their releases include Here Before and the 2025 album Shadow Magic.
