The Brighton Beat is a New York City band known for horn-driven funk, full percussion, and instrumental grooves. The group has been performing across the US since 2010 and has built live shows that can include guest vocalists, audience participation, group sing-alongs, and occasional circus acts. Their sound draws from classic New Orleans brass band funk and 1970s Afrobeat.
EMEFE also appears on the bill. The band formed in New York City jazz programs and released the 2025 album FORWARD. Their music has roots in Afrobeat and also includes funk, new wave, and neo soul influences. EMEFE’s live shows are led by a horn section and grounded by bass from Doug Berns.
