About This Event
The Brent Reggae Album Covers Exhibition Marking African History Season runs at Harlesden Library in London from 1 June to 31 October 2026, during library opening hours. The exhibition is produced by BritishBlackMusic.com/Black Music Congress (BBM/BMC) in association with BTWSC/African Histories Revisited and Brent Museum and Archives.
On Wednesday, 31 October 2026, historical musicologist and exhibition curator Kwak u will lead an interactive session from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The talk marks African History Season and includes the topic “It Was Also About Other Black Musics.” It is also presented in memory of Cleveland “Popsy” Deer.
The session is at Harlesden Library, Craven Park Road, London, NW10 8SE. No booking is required, and visitors are invited to bring any vinyl record with a Brent connection for playback and discussion. A separate Zoom option is listed for those who want to attend online.
