Founded by community advocate and cultural organizer Victor M. Lopez Jr., Summer Blockfest is an annual hip-hop festival and community celebration. The event is powered by @whathobokensoundslike and @whatjerseycitysoundslike and is taking place for its fourth year in 2026.
This year’s program includes live hip-hop performances, live DJ sets, a live beat showcase, food trucks, local culinary vendors, streetwear, art, vinyl, and marketplace vendors, family-friendly activities, and community engagement experiences. It also includes a Back-to-School Book Bag Giveaway in partnership with the Hoboken Public School District, plus the 2nd Annual @pamelabatesfoundation Awards Ceremony.
Featured performers include Ray Pearson, MP14, Taz, Ill Padilla, Pootie KingLVT, RaySpitta, School of Rock Hoboken, Chaseland, Bri Breesh, Rose Image, H100 Da Holdin Crew, Mega Modd, Frank Knight, MoBanga, Big Dart, ImKazual, Shadee Bugatti, PeteyxKraze, Gunner Montana, Victor Lopez Jr. aka Young Emeljay, Ezzodadon, Nimbus~Markel, Arahmus Brown, Ruga, Dopeboi Drew, and Mr. Deranged. DJs scheduled for the event are DJ BriPee, Mister Angel, DJ Madness, DJ Takefive, and DJ Shuffle. A rain date is listed for August 29, 2026.
