Summer Concert Series - THE AFRO LATINEERS takes place at Piazza Ernesto Strada in Westbury, NY, at Post Ave at Maple Ave. The concert is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 7:00 PM and is presented by Westbury Arts. Admission is free.
The Afro-Latineers are a NYC ensemble led by master percussionist Paul “Sabor” Rivera. Their sound blends Afrobeat, salsa, Latin jazz, funk, and jazz improvisation. The group draws inspiration from artists including Fela Kuti, Mongo Santamaria, and Stevie Wonder.
The performance includes Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz jams, fiery percussion, and horns. The band’s live set is described as moving through dance-floor anthems and energetic arrangements.
