Stax of Soul – Live at Empire Rochdale takes place on Saturday 19 September 2026 at Empire Rochdale, 7 Packer Street, Rochdale, OL16 1NJ.
Stax of Soul bring classic soul, Stax, Motown and funk-driven R&B to Rochdale, with songs including Respect, Soul Man, Dock of the Bay, I Can’t Turn You Loose, Mustang Sally, I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and Knock on Wood. The performance is described as featuring tight rhythms, powerful vocals, rich basslines and sharp horn lines.
A live DJ follows from 9:30 PM. Entry is free before 8:30 PM, then £3 cash or £4 card after. Empire Rochdale is a short walk from Rochdale’s bus, tram and train stops, and an accessible toilet is available.
