The day will start in a relaxed atmosphere, focusing on the roots and significance of sound system culture. Attendees can look forward to film screenings that explore reggae, dub, and UK sound system heritage, along with conversations and stories from local selectors and sound system operators. There will be opportunities to experience the sound systems up close, learning about their construction, sound movement, and cultural importance. Food will be available throughout the day, fostering a community-oriented environment.
As the day progresses, the energy will build with selectors stepping in and sound systems warming up. The afternoon will feature multiple sound systems rotating through selections of roots, reggae, dub, and lovers rock, creating an inclusive space for all ages. As evening approaches, the atmosphere will shift to a dance-focused session, with three to four sound systems taking control, each showcasing their unique style and identity. Expect powerful bass, engaging MCs, and a crowd united by rhythm and shared experiences.
