Soul on Wax free daytime party returns to The Horse & Groom in London on Saturday 9 May 2026, with free entry and a running time of 4pm to 10pm. The event takes place at 28 Curtain Road, London, EC2A 3NZ.
Abi Clarke and J.P. are set to play the regular second Saturday Soul On Wax session at the newly refurbished venue. The music selection includes soul, funk, boogie, rap, and a few surprises along the way.
Abi Clarke began her DJ career in 1996 as a resident at Do Me a Favour in London’s West End, playing soul, jazz funk, boogie, and rare groove. She has also held weekly nights at The Vibe Bar in Brick Lane and Tongue and Groove in Brixton, along with twice-weekly gigs at the VIP rooms at Cafe de Paris and at The Met Bar. Her guest DJ appearances have included clubs and events such as Balance with Gilles Peterson, Mind Fluid with Kevin Beadle, WarBox with Ashley Beedle, Destination Out with Ross Allen, 45 and Beyond with Dr Bob Jones, FAITH Mansion House party, and It’s So with Ronnie Herel.
