ska @ temperance | Ska Train "Friday Night Skank" with special guest takes place at Temperance in Leamington Spa on Friday 4 September 2026, with doors opening at 7:00 pm. The event has moved to a Friday night regular slot and features Ska Train performing a selection of favourite tunes, joined by a very special guest.
The venue will keep chairs around the edges and clear a large dance floor in the middle. Guests are invited to wear 2-tone clothes and dancing shoes. The event is at Temperance, 33 Bath Street, Leamington Spa, CV31 3AF.
Ska Train’s seven-piece line-up includes trombone, saxophone, guitar, keys, vocals, and a rhythm section. The band’s set spans the evening with three performances and DJ sets between them:
- 7:00 pm – Doors
- 7:30 pm – Ska Train first set (45 mins)
- 8:15 pm – Interval and DJ set (30 mins)
- 8:45 pm – Ska Train second set (45 mins)
- 9:30 pm – Interval and DJ set (30 mins)
- 10:00 pm – Ska Train third set (45 mins plus encores)
- 11:00 pm – Close
The setlist is rooted in the UK ska revival of the late 1970s and early 1980s, with references to the 2-Tone era and bands such as The Specials, Madness, Bad Manners, and The Selecter.
