POWDER FOR PIGEONS is a duo featuring singer and guitarist Rhys and drummer Meike. Rhys builds his guitars by hand from Australian wood for a drop-tuned, rugged sound. Meike developed her drumming skills in Los Angeles at a label connected to the Sound City Studios in Van Nuys.
The pair are based between Hamburg and Perth and spend their time either on tour or in the studio. Their live history includes support shows for New Model Army, Monster Magnet, Clawfinger, Life of Agony, Ugly Kid Joe, Fu Manchu, and Clutch, as well as shared stages with The Offspring, Red Fang, and Dog Eat Dog. They have also played festivals across Europe, including Hellfest, Czad Festiwal, Ollesummer, Freak Valley, Vestrock, Palp Festival, Roadkill, Stoned from the Underground, Desertfest, and Up in Smoke.
