About This Event
Get ready, Bredrin and Sistren! The time has come once again to gather under the vibrant Red, Gold, and Green banner at Ellis Beach Bar & Grill. Join us for an unforgettable evening of authentic Reggae vibes and cultural celebration on Saturday, October 11, from 5 to 10pm AEST (doors open at 4:30pm).
Experience a killer lineup of local talent, featuring Selectors Dizza One, Djinna, and RockStone spinning a dynamic mix of Reggae, Dancehall, Dub, Ska, Steppas, and more—on the decks to keep you moving all night long.
Our live performers will electrify the stage, starting with Bala Kaijo — one of Cairns’ freshest Indigenous voices. His music weaves powerful stories rooted in cultural pride, drawing inspiration from his St Pauls Village heritage on MOA Island in the Torres Strait. With totems of Dugong, Brown Snake, Thupmul, and Saara, Bala channels tradition into a sound that is heartfelt and unforgettable. Beyond music, Bala Kaijo will also host the evening, guiding us through this soulful celebration.
Next up, Icaro brings the healing traditions of the Amazon directly to the roots of Reggae. Colombian-born and Cairns-based, Icaro’s band has been lighting up festival stages all year. Now, they return to Ellis Beach with their full crew, ready to drop grooves that hit deep and keep you dancing until the very last beat.
And to close the night, we have Zennith, legends of the Kuranda music scene. Celebrating 20 years since their first release, Aiden is flying in from across the country to reunite with the crew and deliver a dynamic, unforgettable set that only Zennith can provide—honoring the proud legacy of Brim reggae.
All this incredible music and cultural celebration for only 27.78 AUD. Don’t miss out on this vibrant night of reggae roots, community, and good vibes. See you there!
