Etana is a singer, songwriter, and humanitarian known for reggae recordings that incorporate folk, soul, and jazz influences. Born Shauna McKenzie, she adopted the name Etana, meaning “The Strong One” in Swahili, after returning to Jamaica and pursuing reggae music. Her 2008 debut album, The Strong One, reached No. 12 on the Billboard Reggae chart. Later releases include Free Expressions, I Rise, Reggae Forever, Dimensions, Gemini, and Pamoja. She has received two Grammy Award nominations, including nominations for Reggae Forever and Pamoja.
Honey B is a reggae singjay from Central California whose music features conscious lyrics and a foundational roots reggae style. She spent her early years in rural Jamaica, an influence noted in her connection to reggae culture.
