Rap Concert And Conversation For All Ages By Microsoft Engineer takes place at Bahá’í Center, 2601 4th Avenue, Conway, SC 29527, on Friday, November 20, 2026, at 7:30 PM. Admission is free, and the event is open to all ages.
Peyt Spencer Dewar, who performs as Peyt Spencer, is a rapper and software engineer from Bellevue, Washington. His From The Ground Up tour pairs rap music with a conversation about his personal path of growth and applying universal principles for a well-rounded life. Much of his songwriting is inspired by the Bahá’í Faith.
After high school, Dewar completed a year of service in Veraguas, Panama, where he worked with families in Santiago, taught virtues classes for children, supported peer-led groups for early adolescents, facilitated study circles, and tutored reading and math. He recorded raps on his laptop during that time, and his first live rap performance was in Spanish at a community gathering.
Dewar later attended the University of Florida and performed in Gainesville as a solo artist, with a live band, and with UF’s Hip-Hop Collective and the theater troupe Signs of Life. He became a participant in Damian Lillard’s weekly #4BarFriday Instagram rap challenge, later appearing on the #4BarFriday IG Cypher during COVID. After moving to the West Coast to work at Microsoft, he continued his work in music and technology, including founding Lyrist, a platform intended to help songwriters find beats and address writer’s block.
