Rap Concert And Conversation For All Ages By Microsoft Engineer takes place Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM at 12443 Gradwell Street in Lakewood, California. The free, all-ages program features rapper and software engineer Peyt Spencer, whose name rhymes with “heat,” on his From The Ground Up tour across North America.

Part concert and part conversation, the program addresses Spencer’s path of growth and the universal principles he applies in his life. His songwriting is often inspired by the Baha'i Faith. After high school, he spent a year of service in Veraguas, Panama, where he worked with families in Santiago, teaching virtues to children, supporting peer-led groups for early adolescents, facilitating study circles, and tutoring reading and math. He recorded raps on his laptop during that time, and his first live rap performance was in Spanish at a community gathering.

Spencer later attended the University of Florida, performing in Gainesville as a solo artist, with a live band, and with UF’s Hip-Hop Collective and the theater troupe Signs of Life. During his senior year, he began participating regularly in Damian Lillard’s weekly #4BarFriday Instagram rap challenge. After graduation, he worked in software testing before moving to the West Coast to join Microsoft, where he has worked as a software engineer for the past decade.

His #4BarFriday videos were reposted by Dame D.O.L.L.A., and he appeared live on the #4BarFriday IG Cypher during COVID. Spencer later returned to music after a four-year break and now manages his own catalog, tour, merchandise, and live streams. He also founded Lyrist, a tool intended to help songwriters find beats and work through writer’s block.
