QUARTETTO ALLA MANIERA ITALIANA AL CASTELLO DI LURANO takes place at Castello di Lurano in Lurano, Lombardia, on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Admission is free upon reservation, subject to availability.
The programme features chamber music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert, and Ludwig van Beethoven. The works listed are Mozart’s Quartet No. 6 in B-flat major, K. 159, Schubert’s Quartet No. 10 in E-flat major, D. 87, and Beethoven’s Quartet in G major, Anh. 2 No. 2.
Quartetto Alla Maniera Italiana was founded with the aim of exploring 18th- and 19th-century chamber music, with particular attention to Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven, using a historically informed approach. The ensemble also performs Romantic repertoire and contemporary works for classical instruments. It uses copies of original instruments, historically appropriate bows, and, when possible, autograph scores or first editions. The group is part of Le Dimore del Quartetto and was named “Ensemble dell’Anno” by the Fondo Morosini per la Cultura e la Musica in June 2025.
