Protoje is a pivotal figure in Jamaica's musical renaissance, known for blending reggae with hip-hop, soul, and jazz. His journey began in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, and he gained prominence in 2014 with the hit "Who Knows" featuring Chronixx. Protoje has collaborated with global artists such as Jorja Smith, Alicia Keys, and Wiz Khalifa. His song "Switch It Up" featuring Koffee was included in Barack Obama’s 2021 Summer Playlist, highlighting his broad appeal. As the founder of the In.Digg.Nation Collective, he supports emerging Jamaican talent. His recent work includes the reimagined album In Search of Zion, showcasing his innovative approach to reggae. With two Grammy nominations for Best Reggae Album, Protoje has established himself as a leading voice in modern music, performing at major festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury.
Jesse Royal is a Grammy-nominated reggae artist known for his conscious lyrics and modern roots reggae sound. Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, he has made a significant impact with songs like “Modern Day Judas” and “Finally.” His debut album, Lily of Da Valley, reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, and his follow-up, Royal, earned a Grammy nomination. Recently, Jesse expanded his influence through a successful tour in Brazil and by co-creating The High Life Festival in Kingston, which aims to celebrate music and community.
