Prostitute formed in 2020 in Dearborn, Michigan. The band is described as an experimental post-punk and Arab rock group, with a debut album, Attempted Martyr, released through Mute Records. Their sound is shaped by warped guitars, primitive basslines, frenzied drumming, corrosive synthesizers, and samples drawn from African, Middle Eastern, and East Asian influences.
The group’s live performances have been described as punishing, high-energy, dangerous, and volatile. Their set is expected to include support to be announced.
