Drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as John Holt, Ken Boothe, Max Romeo, Toots & The Maytals, Bob Andy, Stephen Marley, The Skatalites, and more, Professor Roots passionately brings the spirit of authentic Jamaican music to life with a Rhode Island twist.
The band, formed in 2014, features a dynamic lineup including longtime reggae partners Fred on harmonica and Geoff on keys, alongside talented musicians like Krys on drums, Peter on lead vocals, Rob Liguori on saxophones, Peter Fayan on bass, Jon Letourneau on lead guitar, and Frank Moniz on tenor saxophone. Since their inception, they have performed at numerous venues across Southeastern New England, including opening for The Wailers in October 2014, and have become a staple in the local reggae scene.
