About This Event
PHUNK! Music of Defiance & Celebration with DJ Deesh + Kadence Music takes place at BRIG Café at The Warehouse in Birmingham on Friday 5 June 2026, from 8:00pm until midnight. Entry is free, and the event is open to ages 14 and over.
The launch party for PHUNK! features DJ Deesh and Kadence Music, with sounds drawn from across the world, including Hip Hop, Latin and Bhangra. The programme also includes Hip-Hop, Soul, Funk, Disco, Reggae, Ska, Latin, Bhangra, Bollywood and Desi Beatz, alongside visuals.
The event is associated with Unite The People, with Birmingham Race Impact Group (BRIG), Beyond Racism and Stories That Made Us also named in connection with PHUNK!.
