Pat Travers is a Canadian singer, guitarist, and keyboardist known for his hard, edgy tone, rough vocals, and barroom boogie style. He came up during the 1970s wave of hard blues-rock guitar acts and released eight albums for Polydor between his 1976 debut and 1984’s Hot Shot.
That run produced seven Top 200 chart placements and two Top 40 singles, including “Boom Boom (Out Go the Lights).” Travers has also recorded material that spans funk, jazz, and prog, and has toured almost annually for more than 40 years.
