Paradiso Presents Havana Noche with Kwasi Bruni Big Band takes place at Paradiso Music Room in Byron Bay on Thursday, 2 July 2026 at 7:30 pm. The event features Kwasi Bruni Big Band performing Afro-Cuban jazz, salsa and big band improvisation, with a program inspired by the golden era of Latin jazz in the 1950s and 60s.
The band is co-led by bassist Barry Hill and Colombian pianist Camilo Losada, and grew out of a jam session rooted in the descargas tradition, where spontaneity, groove and musical conversation come first. Their sound is supported by a five-piece horn section and three percussionists, bringing together jazz, salsa and Afro-Cuban rhythm in a live big band setting.
Havana Noche also includes a complimentary glass of prosecco for ticket holders on arrival between 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm. The event is held at Paradiso Music Room, 6 Lawson Street, Byron Bay, NSW 2481.
