Boisdale of Canary Wharf, at 15 Cabot Square, London, E14 4QT, welcomes Omar, a central figure in British soul whose music moves between jazz, funk, R&B and disco. Best known for There’s Nothing Like This, Omar has spent more than four decades recording and performing, with a catalogue that includes groove-led tracks and more reflective material.
His career includes collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Leon Ware and Lamont Dozier. In 2012, he was awarded an MBE for his contribution to music, and he later released his ninth studio album, Brighter The Days, marking 40 years as a recording artist.
Boisdale of Canary Wharf also features the Hine Bar and Heated Garden Terrace on the first floor for pre- and post-show drinks, subject to availability.
