Nights of Soul - Live Music & Open Mic [summer love edition]

Nights of Soul - Live Music & Open Mic [summer love edition] takes place on Friday, 14 August 2026 at Piano Smithfield, 14 Long Lane, London, EC1A 9PN. Doors open at 7:00 PM.

The night features a live music and open mic format with a house band, VVN & The Origin, opening with originals and selections from R&B, soul, jazz, neo-soul, Afro-pop and reggae. After the band set, the floor opens for the open mic section.

Open mic performers are asked to purchase an open mic ticket in advance, with slots available on a first come, first serve basis. Performance styles can include singers, rappers, poets, spoken word artists, actors and musicians. Performers may join the band, use personal instruments, perform acapella, or sing with a backing track.

The summer love edition theme encourages performances of love songs or sets with a nostalgic, long-summer-days feel. Piano Smithfield is the venue for the event, and the dress code is come as you are.
