Nathaniel Taberner "Found" EP Lauch takes place at Hyde Park Book Club in Headingley on Thursday 25 June 2026 at 7:30 PM. The event is scheduled at 27-29 Headingley Lane, Headingley, LS6 1BL.
The ensemble moves between jazz tradition and modern experimentation, with a sound that blends straight-ahead jazz, contemporary post-bop, hip-hop and art rock influences. Nathaniel Taberner’s compositions feature emotionally poignant melodies, intricate harmony and driving grooves, and the band’s work explores themes of introspection, vulnerability and finding comfort and strength.
The quintet has shared stages with artists including Ivo Neame, Matters Unknown (Nubiyan Twist) and NTBM, and has appeared at Leeds Jazz Festival. Support comes from Joshua Pattison and Tom McEwan Trio. Joshua Pattison is a Leeds Conservatoire composer whose music blends Brazilian, African and Indian roots with hip hop, while Tom McEwen’s Leeds-based trio connects contemporary jazz with British folk and Americana.
The Tom McEwen Trio’s debut album, The Three Forests, was released last year and received support from Soweto Kinch on BBC Radio 4’s Round Midnight, as well as an Album of the Year award from EHFM.
