Martin Nöbauer, Historische Claviere takes place at Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, Steintorplatz, 20099 Hamburg, on 28 June 2026 at 12:00. The programme features historical keyboard instruments, beginning with a Schiedmayer hammerflügel from Nuremberg, 1801, and a Joseph Brodmann hammerflügel from Vienna, around 1815. Works by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven are followed by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Variations sérieuses in D minor, op. 54, and Frédéric Chopin’s Ballade in A-flat major, op. 47. The concert is scheduled to end at approximately 13:15.
Martin Nöbauer is an Austrian pianist who performs on both modern and historical instruments. His recent distinctions include second prize and the Klemens Kramert Special Prize at the 17th International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna, and finalist status at the Second International Chopin Competition on historical instruments in Warsaw. He has also released recordings on the Gramola label and appeared at festivals and concert series in Vienna, Munich, Turin, Warsaw, and other locations.
Discounts are available for members of the Chopin Society, pupils, students, and people in voluntary service with valid ID. People with disabilities pay the regular ticket price, and one accompanying person with a “B” note on the disabled person’s ID is admitted free of charge.
