Lau Noah performs voice and Spanish guitar, joined by Evan Tyor on voice and guitar, with visuals by Jamie Ellington. For this Manchester debut, she brings her latest multi-disciplinary project to the festival.
Originally from Catalonia and based in New York City, Lau Noah is a self-taught composer and guitarist whose work has drawn praise from artists including Phoebe Bridgers, Jackson Browne, Jacob Collier, Chris Thile, Moses Sumney and Jamie Cullum. She played a Tiny Desk Concert in February 2019, becoming the first Catalan to perform in the series, and has also performed at venues including Royal Albert Hall, SummerStage and Carnegie Hall. In 2024, she released her first LP, A Dos, and was a finalist in the American Songwriter Competition and won Best New Artist at the Cartagena Music Festival in Spain.
