About This Event
La Perla, the all-female percussion and vocal trio from Bogotá, brings its live show to District in Liverpool on 9 July 2026 at 8:00 PM. The group performs music shaped by Afro-Colombian rhythms and urban genres, with cumbia, bullerengue, champeta, merengue, hip hop, and punk energy all part of the set.
The trio is known for powerful percussion, commanding vocals, and a stage presence that has taken them to festivals across Europe, Latin America, and beyond, including Sziget Festival, Shambala, WOMEX, and Festival Estéreo Picnic. Their debut album, Callejera, draws on Latin American street sounds and includes rhythms such as cumbia, samba, guaguancó, and rap.
