Born Keron Salmon in Kingston, Jamaica, Kabaka Pyramid is a Grammy Award-winning Rastafarian lyricist whose music incorporates reggae, hip-hop, and dancehall. He emerged with Rebel Music in 2011, including “Free From Chains” and “Warrior” with Protoje. His releases also include “No Capitalist,” “Mi Alright” with Chronixx, and “Well Done,” produced by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.
His 2018 debut album, Kontraband, was produced with Damian Marley and reached No. 3 on Billboard’s reggae chart. Kabaka Pyramid’s 2022 album, The Kalling, featured Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, Protoje, Jesse Royal, and Buju Banton and won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. He will be backed by The Bebble Rockers.
Ras I-Dre and the Royal Frequency will open the show, with DJ Mista B on the ones and twos. Winston’s Kitchen will also be on hand with Caribbean fare.
