Kabaka Pyramid is a Grammy Award-winning Rastafarian lyricist from Kingston, Jamaica, known for blending reggae, hip-hop, and dancehall. Emerging in 2011 with Rebel Music, he went on to release tracks including “Free From Chains,” “Warrior” featuring Protoje, “No Capitalist,” “Never Gonna Be a Slave,” and “Mi Alright” featuring Chronixx.
His catalog also includes the Billboard-charting Lead The Way EP, the anthem “Well Done” produced by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, and the debut album Kontraband, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. His sophomore album, The Kalling, also produced by Damian Marley, won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
Kabaka Pyramid has toured across Europe, North America, and beyond, and performs backed by The Bebble Rockers. Midtown Events is listed as the organizer.
