JAM Big Band at The Retreat Hotel Brunswick + Open Jam Session takes place at The Retreat Hotel, 280 Sydney Road, Brunswick, VIC 3056, on Thursday, 23 July 2026 at 7:30 pm.
Featuring some of Melbourne’s best young jazz musicians, JAM Big Band explores a wide range of big band styles, with an emphasis on contemporary jazz, fusion and funk. The program includes moody charts by renowned composers, along with original compositions shaped by the modern avant-garde direction of its players.
After its 2024 success, JAM returns to The Retreat with a Latin and Afrocuban night featuring percussionist Paolo Coladonato. The set also includes an open jam session after the big band performance.
