About This Event
InspiredWordNYC presents MC/Poet Conservative Rap at Sugar Mouse NYC on Tuesday, June 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM. The event takes place at 47 3rd Avenue in New York, NY 10003, in Manhattan’s East Village.
Conservative Rap, also known as Patrick, is a Long Island-born poet and MC now based in New York City. He was trained in the old-school cipher style of the late 1990s and early 2000s and developed his poetry through work with underground poets from that period. His writing draws from artists including Wu Tang, Nas, Large Professor, and AZ, and is shaped by a literary, iambic pentameter-based structure.
His debut album, The Calm Before the Storm, is intended to present his style of rhyme and meter under the name “Conservative Rap.” Admission is listed as $10 with a one-drink minimum, or $15 within 24 hours of the event and at the door. The event is 18+ and refunds are available up to 24 hours before the event. The 14th Street–Union Square subway station is served by the L, 4, 5, 6, N, Q, R, and W lines.
