Ian Sankey is based in the North East of England and works across contemporary, classical, and early music. He regularly plays principal trombone with the Royal Northern Sinfonia and has also performed with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Cologne Chamber Orchestra, WDR Sinfonie Orchestras, Opera North, and Shadwell Opera. His work also includes performances with the European ensemble S T A R G A Z E and Surge Scotland’s theatre street show Beautiful Bones.
Anna Michels is a Scottish-Dutch pianist who has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. She has played major piano concertos with orchestras in Scotland and the Netherlands, including the Maastricht Academic Chamber Orchestra, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Symphony Orchestra, Conservatorium Maastricht Symphony Orchestra, and Falkirk Tryst Orchestra. Her work also includes chamber music, improvisation, lecture-recitals, and teaching at St Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh.
