The Swamp Stomp String Band are known for a mix of gritty ragtime, country heart, bluesy stomp, and folk-fuelled energy, delivered with humour and a theatrical live style. Their set features gritty guitars, twanging banjos, harmonicas, double bass, drums, and their flat-pack honky-tonk piano.
The band perform material that ranges from riotous songs about questionable life choices to heart-worn ballads and modern sea shanties. They are fiercely independent, self-recording, self-promoting, and self-releasing their music, and have spent more than 10 years performing across the UK, including muddy festival fields and city venues.
