About This Event
Glass Eel, Ropeburn and Mabel Clark takes place at Theatreship in South Quay, London, on Friday 28 August 2026 at 7:30pm.
Glass Eel is the solo project of London-based artist Alice Western, blending sharp-edged folk storytelling with psych, grunge and indie influences. Western’s work was inspired by the translucent second stage of the eel’s life cycle, and the project explores dislocation, fragility and survival in uncertain environments.
Ropeburn is an alternative, slowcore and post-rock quintet featuring trumpet and banjo. Based in London with members from Ireland and the UK, the band includes musicians from Blood Wizard, Kissing on Camera, Baggio and Bog Band. Their set is described as a seamless sequence of fluid songs, with all members singing. Mabel Clarke are a post-folk emo jam band from London.
Theatreship opens from 4pm for drinks in the bar. The venue recommends arriving by 6:30pm to settle in and get seated. Access information is available from Theatreship, and the venue notes that there is currently no step-free access into the theatre space.
