Elf Traps is the project of Manchester-based musicians Rob Turner and Liviu Gheorghe. Turner previously played with GoGo Penguin, and Gheorghe previously played with Matthew Halsall. Their work combines acoustic drums, analogue synths, and laptops, with influences that include spiritual jazz, glitchy electronics, jungle, ambient, and more. Shunya is the alias of Alan Keary, a multi-instrumentalist and producer whose background includes classical violin and jazz bass.
