About This Event
Join us for the Find Your Muse Open MIC featuring Risu at The Evening Muse on April 6, 2026. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with signups starting at 7:15 PM and the show beginning at 7:30 PM. This event welcomes local artists to showcase their talent, with a limit of two songs or ten minutes per performer, preferably featuring original material. Risu, a native Charlotte artist, will be performing at this event. He blends lofi poetry with calm melodic rap, creating a musical experience that promotes comfort and understanding. As a kenjutsu martial artist, Risu maintains a calm and relaxed state, allowing him to navigate through music that addresses tension and uncomfortable subjects.
Important information for attendees:
- Age restrictions: If you are over 21 but do not have a legal ID, state law prohibits the serving of alcoholic beverages.
- A $5 surcharge will be applied at the door for attendees under 21.
- Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
