This special 40th anniversary party is dedicated to The Smiths’ The Queen Is Dead, which was released on 16 June 1986. The night includes tracks from the album such as “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out,” “Bigmouth Strikes Again,” “The Boy with the Thorn in His Side,” “Cemetery Gates,” and “Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others,” along with other songs from The Smiths’ catalogue.

The event also includes the usual gloomy artists played at Feeling Gloomy, so it will not be The Smiths all night. The listed artists include David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys, Pulp, The Clash, Depeche Mode, Blur, The Cure, Nick Cave, Suede, New Order, Echo & The Bunnymen, Kate Bush, Blondie, Nirvana, Human League, Manic Street Preachers, Joy Division, and more.

Ticket holders can also get 20% off food at The Phoenix by showing their tickets. Last orders are at 8:45 PM, and the offer is only valid on the same day as the event.
