Feeling Gloomy - Pet Shop Boys: 40th Anniversary Special takes place at The Phoenix, 37 Cavendish Square, London, W1G 0PP, on Saturday 2 May 2026 at 10:00pm.

The night marks 40 years since Pet Shop Boys released their debut album, Please, on 24 March 1986. The set includes tracks from that album, including West End Girls, Suburbia, Opportunities (Let’s Make Lots of Money) and Love Comes Quickly, along with other songs from Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe’s albums.

Alongside the Pet Shop Boys focus, the event includes the usual selection of gloomy artists such as David Bowie, The Smiths, Pulp, The Clash, Depeche Mode, Blur, The Cure, Nick Cave, Suede, New Order, Echo & The Bunnymen, Kate Bush, Blondie, Nirvana, Human League, Manic Street Preachers and Joy Division.
