Fado Experience - Live Fado Show w/ Portuguese Dinner takes place on September 17, 2026, beginning at 7:00 PM. Meet at Praça Luís de Camões, in front of the statue, by the red umbrella with the WILD WALKERS logo at Largo Luís de Camões, 1200-243 Lisboa.
The program includes a guided introduction to the history of Fado, its origins, and its connection to Portuguese culture. Fado is recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage and is commonly performed by a lead singer, known as a fadista, with two Portuguese guitar players. The Portuguese guitar has 12 strings.
The event includes a 90-minute live Fado show at a Fado house and restaurant, with lyric translation provided by the guide. A Portuguese dinner is included during the show.
