Musician, composer and producer Erdem Pancarcı centers this project on the Âşık tradition, one of the oldest and most enduring storytelling traditions of Anatolia and Mesopotamia. The performance connects folk poetry, mysticism and social experience, drawing on themes of love, longing, justice and spiritual devotion that have shaped the tradition for centuries.
The music combines traditional instruments such as the bağlama and the tembûr with a contemporary sound built around jazz, improvisation and influences from various world music traditions. Mythos of Âşık is described as a musical mosaic rooted in tradition while remaining open to new artistic perspectives.
The ensemble includes Emrah Oğuztürk on duduk and kaval, Zîlan Hasret Yıldız on percussion, Neofytos Stefanou on bass, and Erdem Pancarcı on tembûr, divan and vocals. Management Pancarcı is listed as the organizer.
