About This Event
Eight Hands Extravaganza! takes place at Jesmond United Reformed Church, Burdon Terrace, Jesmond, NE2 3AE, on Saturday, 9 May 2026 at 6:00 PM.
The programme features ensemble piano music for two pianos, duos and eight hands, with works performed by Annie Ball, Venera Bojkova, Alison Gill and Yoshie Kawamura. The concert includes Schubert’s Fantasia in F minor, Ravel’s La Valse, Gershwin’s Cuban Overture, Scott Joplin’s rag in a two-piano arrangement by Kevin Olson, and two-piano, eight-hand arrangements of Piazzolla’s Oblivion and Libertango.
The event is part of the Newcastle Piano Festival, produced by Semibreve CIC. The festival is held at Jesmond United Reformed Church and includes concerts, workshops and informal piano performances.
